Berlin, July 28, 2022. The striking Kleihues building at Hauptstraße 117 in Berlin-Schöneberg has been sold by project developer COPRO to an international real estate company. COPRO Projektentwicklung GmbH handled the sales process in the spring of this year. The multi-tenant office building, now handed over, comprises 14 rental units and was designed in 1993 by the renowned architect Josef P. Kleihues, whose work significantly shaped Berlin's architectural landscape in the 1980s and 1990s.
COPRO Projektentwicklung GmbH has gradually modernized and renovated the six-story building, which offers approximately 2,120 square meters of rental space, located in the heart of Schöneberg. Since April 2015, the building's facade has been adorned with the approximately 180-square-meter artwork "Adanze." The word "Adanze" means "warm welcome" in several West African languages. This much-admired mural is the work of Berlin artist Christian Awe and symbolizes the fundamental forces behind all creative self-expression. Collaboration with artists holds particular significance for the project developer COPRO. The COPRO Group doesn't simply build – it designs new living and working spaces that enable people to achieve a fulfilling balance between life and work.
