COPRO Group acquires Tübingen’s Schloss Roseck

Schloss Roseck GmbH & Co. KG, a special-purpose entity of the COPRO Group, has purchased the well-known Schloss Roseck in Tübingen from a private seller. Schloss Roseck is a listed ensemble comprising the castle building, wall houses, a former care home, and a chapel, with a gross floor area of approx. 3,900 m² on a 32-hectare site.

The COPRO Group is currently developing a restoration and utilization concept for the endangered property in cooperation with the municipality and the heritage authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price, which was documented on February 14, 2023.

After years without public access to the castle grounds, the COPRO Group plans permanent public use of the site and the permanent opening of the scenic path around the castle for hikers and cyclists. Idyllic Schloss Roseck is surrounded by orchards, a vineyard, and a light woodland, and boasts a spectacular vantage point. Project development is being handled by COPRO Projektentwicklung GmbH Stuttgart/Berlin. COPRO has commissioned the experienced Stuttgart architecture firm Sindlinger & Vogt PartG mbB with the planning.

Legal counsel to COPRO was provided by P+P Pöllath + Partners Rechtsanwälte und Steuerberater mbB; tax advice is being handled by Ebner Stolz GmbH & Co. KG (audit and tax consulting), Stuttgart. The property was brokered by HERLE & COMPANY, Baden-Baden.
