At COPRO AG, our vision goes beyond designing innovative spaces—we strive to build communities. Although most of our work takes place in Europe, we believe in partnering with like-minded organizations wherever they are.
That’s why, since 2017, we’ve been collaborating with #ElColegiodelCuerpo (eCdC) in Colombia—a groundbreaking dance school and think tank co-founded by Álvaro Restrepo and Marie France Deleiuvin that empowers thousands of children through the power of movement.
When our board member Marc F. Kimmich visited Cartagena in 2017, he discovered a place full of creativity, resilience, and community. That encounter ignited a passion that still drives us today.Leopoldo J. Combariza, the project’s architect, says: “Not a single bush was moved in developing this campus. The master plan is nature’s plan, not mine.” Timber construction is more than a building method—it’s a mindset and a vision for the future. In architecture, wood stands for sustainability, aesthetics, and innovation. His design connected this place with light, space, and rhythm.
More than 25,000 children have already been reached by eCdC’s programs. Next, we’ll share how COPRO’s passion for innovative architecture flows into this extraordinary project. It’s a perfect example of how spaces can be more than buildings—they can shape communities, create opportunities, and drive sustainable change.
