Berlin, October 10, 2018 – The marketing concept for the Wilhelminian ensemble GLINT has won the Real Estate Marketing Award in the Residential category. The award, presented by Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU), honors innovative and creative marketing concepts. Submissions are reviewed and evaluated by a specialist jury chaired by Professor Dr. Stephan Kippes. “It’s a huge success for us that we were able to score again with our exceptional communications concept around GLINT,” says Nadir J. Guediri, Managing Director of COPRO Projektentwicklung GmbH. The guiding idea behind the concept—developed by the real estate developer COPRO together with TPA Real Estate Brands—was to breathe new life into the historic buildings at the corner of Glinka- and Taubenstraße in the heart of Berlin even before their planned revitalization in the first quarter of 2019.
“The concept includes, among other elements, a bespoke gin edition, distinctive branding, visually striking ads, and the GLINT book—a publication offering a lively insight into the ensemble’s history, whose refined design was recently honored with the Red Dot Award in the Publishing & Print Media category. In addition, since last year an apartment store within the property has given prospective buyers a first glimpse of the future interior design. The store is also available for sales meetings and events. Our goal with COPRO was to create exceptional communications tools that transfer the awakening of this historic architectural jewel into the present day with great attention to detail and convey it across media within a tailored strategy,” explains Lutz Grimm, Managing Director of TPA. The jury was particularly impressed by the holistic communications strategy. Presenter and jury member Steffen Eric Friedlein especially liked the mix of traditional marketing elements and contemporary technology, as it lends the project a unique value. Whether the tactile coffee-table book or the attractive website—the 360-degree approach expresses GLINT’s advantages extremely well.
Next year, GLINT will be refurbished in close coordination with the monument protection authority, creating new space in the building for condominiums, commercial uses, and community areas. COPRO received the building permit for the careful revitalization of the Wilhelminian ensemble in July 2018. “It is important to us that GLINT becomes a place where old values are preserved while simultaneously offering room for new ones.
“In this context, diversity and culture play an important role, which is why we are making GLINT available to young artists for pioneer uses even before construction begins,” Guediri explains. Over the past year, GLINT has already hosted the light installation “Spatial Clearings” as well as the exhibitions “No Place Like Home” and “Like Home Extended.” From September 22 to October 20, 2018, the group exhibition “Standard International #5: Spatial Manifestation” is also being held there, showcasing sculptures and environments representative of the characteristic material aesthetics of Berlin’s post-reunification era. Curator and artistic director of all projects is Rüdiger Lange, a pioneer of Berlin’s project culture.
Since 1993, COPRO has been implementing sophisticated real estate projects and supporting its properties throughout their entire life cycle—from developing unique project ideas through concept and execution to sales and the later management of the buildings. Throughout all phases, the business units Project Development, Property Management, and Sales & Service work in close mutual exchange. The Real Estate Marketing Award is open to real estate companies from all sectors, as well as agencies and specialized service providers, to submit their marketing concepts. Prizes are awarded in the categories Residential, Commercial, Low Budget (campaigns up to €20,000), and Online Marketing. The award ceremony took place on October 9 as part of Expo Real.
