Art exhibition in B-Part: Lines and Layers – Antje Blumenstein

“Lines and Layers,” the current solo exhibition by Berlin-based artist Antje Blumenstein (born 1967) at “B-Part Exhibition,” focuses on fundamental elements of abstract art: lines, planes, and colors. At the same time, she responds to the exhibition space—with simple means, yet multifaceted effects: some of the works on display reflect, imitate, and double architectural elements of the seemingly neutral exhibition space, amplifying its distinctive features. With remarkable restraint and yet aplomb, the artist thus directs our attention to what connects us to her work: our own perception.
