Exclusive design as a bridge between Yesterday and Tomorrow

Photo series of ANDREAS MURKUDIS' interior design line for Geisberg Berlin

With a photo shoot in the historic building at the construction site of the Geisberg Berlin community housing project, ANDREAS MURKUDIS presents custom-made furniture pieces. The designs are by the internationally renowned designer Christian Haas.

Projects like Geisberg Berlin demonstrate that the real estate investor and developer COPRO thinks beyond the development and realization of trendsetting real estate projects. For the residential project on the site of the former, listed post and telegraph office in Berlin's Schöneberg district, ANDREAS MURKUDIS offers an exclusive interior design line with carefully selected home accessories.

Perfect Forms in an Imperfect Setting

Berlin-based photographer Ana Santl deliberately staged the exclusive furniture in all its perfection within the still-unfinished Geisberg setting, thus creating a bridge between past and future. "For me, designer furniture and a construction site are two concepts that usually exist in the same space—but at different times. With this photoshoot, I tried to shift that time frame," says Ana Santl about the extraordinary project. The raw atmosphere of the historic rooms provided by COPRO brings the clear, uncompromising design language of the furniture pieces into sharp contrast.

The juxtaposition of the unfinished structure and precise elegance emphasizes the flawless clarity of the furnishings: shelving, sofa, side table, and dining table combination, some of which are available in different colors and are coordinated in style.

Geisberg: Sustainable Project Development with Award

Geisberg Berlin is the first listed building in Germany to receive the pre-certificate in gold from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). With this project, COPRO is pursuing a holistic approach to setting future-proof standards: Geisberg Berlin combines historical quality, modern architecture, and a new approach to sustainability to create an urban lifestyle in the heart of Berlin. The development will feature 128 high-quality condominiums, five mixed-use lofts, and two commercial units designed by the architectural firm Ortner & Ortner Baukunst. A community room, a communal kitchen, and a fitness room will foster a sense of community. Groundbreaking took place in April 2016, and completion is scheduled for the end of 2017. Currently, 90 percent of the units have already been sold.
