Paris, Café de la Danse – the dance performance by the creative movement school Colegio del Cuerpo from Colombia, featuring the dance "Flowers for Kazuo Ohno" with music by Leonard Cohen, a tribute to the famous Japanese dancer Kazuo Ohno, was a truly captivating event. For over 20 years, this ambitious ensemble has pursued the goal of conveying inner and outer peace through the art of dance. The school's founders and teachers are comprised of dancers, choreographers, and educators. Colegio del Cuerpo is a socio-educational project for the integration of socially disadvantaged children and young people. Dance is intended to support them in developing their sensitivity and creativity. More than 9,000 children have already been served by the school.
Delighted to be reunited with founder Álvaro Restrepo and impressed by the company's development, COPRO Managing Director Antje Kimmich will support the school in its search for performance venues in Germany.
