COPRO acquires residential and commercial complex in Ludwigsfelde

Berlin, September 19, 2018 – COPRO, together with a private investor, is the new owner of the residential and commercial complex at Straße der Jugend 22 in Ludwigsfelde. The real estate developer has commissioned the Berlin-based architectural firm FAKT – Office for Architecture to develop a holistic design concept for the building in the southern Berlin area. Extensive construction work is not planned. With this acquisition, COPRO expands its portfolio of existing properties.
Attractive Living and Working in the Heart of Ludwigsfelde
The property, built in 1995, is located in the center of Ludwigsfelde and can be reached from Berlin Central Station in approximately 40 minutes by public transport. The building comprises nine residential and thirteen commercial units on a total rental area of approximately 2,000 m². The property was brokered by Engel & Völkers Gewerbe Berlin GmbH & Co. KG. Financing is being provided by Sparkasse Berlin.
COPRO will make the building more attractive for both commercial use and residents as part of a comprehensive design concept. FAKT – Office for Architecture is responsible for planning the construction work. Plans include new color accents that will give the building a more modern and open character. Contemporary lighting and the introduction of a uniform signage and wayfinding system will also help residents, employees, and visitors find their way around the building more easily. In addition to upgrading the stairwells, the underground parking garage, and other common areas, the landscaping will also be redesigned.
"Our goal is to sustainably increase the quality of the property and thus create high-quality living and working spaces outside of Berlin, in the heart of Ludwigsfelde," explains Nadir J. Guediri, Managing Director of COPRO Projektentwicklung GmbH.
The building is intended to remain in COPRO's portfolio long-term.
