Event on “MAKING A KIEZ – how do you build a neighborhood?”

Yesterday, architect Amira Sahr, head of the Urban Ideation Lab (UIL) at B-Part Am Gleisdreieck—Berlin’s most creative think tank—presented the results of the latest lab session on the topic of the Kiez (neighborhood). The interdisciplinary think tank discussed with many guests various aspects such as site planning, financing issues, and concrete ideas for creating a vertical and sustainable neighborhood, using Urbane Mitte Berlin as an example. Among those present were, among others, Markus Penell (O&O Baukunst, CEO), Sven Sappelt (CLB Berlin), and Matthias Pink (Savills, Head of Research).
