In autumn 2007, the refurbishment and modernization of the 19th-century building—with its historic stucco façade and representative entrance—were completed.

Humboldt University of Berlin, the shopping and entertainment centers at Potsdamer Platz, the Mall of Berlin at Leipziger Platz, Friedrichstraße as a shopping and strolling boulevard, and many restaurants are practically “on the doorstep.”

Transport connections: only about a 3–4 minute walk to the following stations: Mohrenstraße (U2), Französische Straße (U6), Stadtmitte (U2 & U6), and the Friedrichstraße and Potsdamer Platz S-/U-Bahn stations.
